Our trip in (more) pictures:
This is a police officer on a SEGWAY. How do you take someone seriously when they are cruisin' around on a Segway? The answer is: you don't. But it is pretty fabulous, you must admit.
PS The fact that he looked like Carl from Family Matters did not help his street cred at all.

Heh. Our police officers tool around on Segways, too. Security at malls - everyone has 'em, which is hilarious.
So glad you had fun!
They closed all the Dunkin Donuts around here a few years ago and replaced them with one Krispy Kreme shop. Personally, I prefer the "local" donut shop. The donuts are bigger and more flavorful!
I don't know where our closest Dunkin Donuts is but it doesn't matter...Tim Horton's is all the rage up here;)
...looks like you had a great trip!
I love Segways so, so, so much. I try to take sneaky pictures of people on Segways all the time. Not the Po-Po, though. I think you can get sent to Guantanamo for taking secret pictures of the NYPD.
I realized last night as I was trying to fall asleep that it is Millenium Park, not Memorial Park. Oops.
I want a donut so bad. I have really bad food cravings right now...donuts, chicken wings and french fries.
The cops at BWI ride Segways, too. Dorks.
Do you not have Dunkin Donuts where you live?? That is simply too horrifying to imagine.
Donuts are tasty and all, but instead of focusing on that, I'm going to say "Mmmmmm... Sangria..."
Nice job pulling out a Family Matters reference. :-) Just when I had almost forgotten about that show...
Also, I am totally doing my Austin recap in list form. It sounds much less daunting that way.
What was your number one favorite thing to do there?
Looks like you had a good trip. I'm a little concerned, though--did you make enough time for eating and drinking? It's important to stay hydrated on vacation. ;)
I've never seen a Segway in real life. I'm jealous.
I love love love Dunkin Donuts. If ever I'm in a city that has them I try to get a dozen chocolate kreme filled before I head home. They freeze really well.
What is a Harry Caray bar? Hmm...
no Navy Pier? and the word "shopping" is mysteriously missing from your list.
I love the Museum of Science and Industry. When I think of it, I think of the human that was sliced into dozens of pcs and put between glass. ew.
glad you had fun. also, did you fall into friend-love with the husband?
Welcome back! Also? Randomly, my dad went to college with Carl from family matters.
