Apparently, October Makes Me Think of Presents

Why am I writing this instead of sleeping at 1 am, you may be asking yourself. I had a cup of coffee at 4 pm. You can tell I am old because caffeine in the afternoon = me typing at 1 am. Well, I also had a cup of coffee in the morning and a soda at lunch. Whatever. Also, I am pretty stressed out and not sure what to do about it. I ate a ton of mozzarella sticks and some chocolate chip waffles for dinner tonight, but I am pretty sure that instead of relieving stress, all that food just made me feel fat.

So now I am searching online for Christmas presents for myself, as normal people do on October 9th.

I like this cashmere sweater in Majestic Purple (size medium).

Or I like this v-neck cashmere sweater in Aqua Blue or maybe Black or White (still a medium).

Ok, that picture didn't work, but I have always admitted that I am technically challenged, so I don't know why you would be surprised.

I also love this blue bead bracelet from Etsy.

I need some mixing bowls with little spouts on them like these.

Finally, I really want some dishes because the ones we have now were my parents that they got really cheap when they got married in approximately 1973. They are big and heavy and not especially attractive. I want some pretty dishes!

If H tells me that I am wasting my Christmases (scroll down to the fourth and last bullet point), I am going to bop him on the nose.

Anything you really want as a present this year?

What does it say about me that I drank four diet cokes between 5 and 8 last night, and then at 10 o'clock I couldn't keep my eyes open and went to bed? Hardcore body that resists allure of caffiene? Or blue haired denture wearer that I went to bed at 10 o clock? Not sure.
I love that bracelet! There was one on Etsy that used old typewriter keys and I just fell in love. Beautiful.

I don't know what I want for Christmas. A democrat President that isn't Hillary would be nice. Other than that, I'm fine with a scarf.

I have to make a list of what I want for Christmas for my in-laws. So far I've got a set of liquid measuring cups, some silicone baking pans and a subscription to Cook's Illustrated. I need to find some things that are not food-related.

I have to make a list for my husband or less I'll get a DVD of some movie I may have randomly said I liked. Like Flash Gordon, which I only liked when I was SEVEN.

I really want those mixing bowls. But I already own two sets of mixing bowls. What is wrong with me?!?

I am sure my mom and sisters will be asking for Christmas ideas for me soon, so if you ask me, it makes perfect sense for you to be thinking about this right now.

Also, did you just by chance find that Etsy bracelet, or have you been talking to Paisley? I'm assuming you know that's her sister's shop, right? I just got a necklace from her a couple weeks ago! It's lovely. :-)

I'm probably going to have to ask for clothes, since mine are getting a little loose. (Don't hate me.) All that working out!

Every year I ask for someone to clean the cat litter box. Every year I am disappointed. But that is all that I really want!

I'm registered at Crate & Barrel, I need to remember to update it soon, or else I'm going to get oodles of stuff I wanted a year ago. I want that purple sweater, I think.

I think I'll be asking for Sephora gift cards - because I want some expensive girly shit from there but I don't want to have to tell Matt's brother to get me face soap and zit cream. So, gift cards it is.

Mmm...more cashmere would be nice, thanks for reminding me.
And I want some nice, durable, wool-lined slippers.
How old-lady of me.

OOOhhh! I want to start making my christmas list, too. I almost always include a J Crew sweater.

I can't drink caffeine past 1 pm, either. I'm glad that you are in the Decaf Grandma club with me!

I have a little trick for getting to sleep. It entails drinking Diet Coke right before bed and then chasing it with a few Tylenol PMs. Works like a charm, and is really good for your liver to boot! It just feels good to live a healthy lifestyle, you know?

My birthday is in a week, so I thought you were shopping for me! :(

I really like the sweater, it's cute!

I start Christmas shopping the day after my birthday every year and I'm usually done by Halloween.

Love the purple cashmere. Also, I saw those mixing bowls at Home Goods the other day- SO. CHEAP! Price-wise, I mean, not quality-wise. They had them in brown, as well, and I loved them.

The end.

Because I rarely ever drink caffeine drinks, I'm the same as you. Now you've got me worried, because I had a Diet Coke at 7:30. Ugh.

I LUUUUUUURRRVE that bracelet! You should totally get that... and the mixing bowls with spouts... and the dishes... you know what? You should just get them all for your Christmas. Then no one would accuse you of wasting ANY Christmases.

I want world peace for Christmas. Oh, and A pluses in both my classes. That is all. (Shoes. Definitely shoes.)

I failed to delurk when it was called for last week, but I'm here now and I'll likely be back. Just a warning.

What do I want for Christmas? All of it. But I have it on good authority that I'm getting another piece of Mission furniture. Last year my mom got me this amazing coffee table - it was handmade by Mennonites! I'm not kidding. My guess is she ordered the matching end table. Man! Now I can't wait!

Love that bracelet!

I'm done for gifts for my birthday, christmas and Valentine's Day as far as Hubby is concerned. He took care of that while we were in Vegas when he bought me a Trinity ring from Cartier... but it doesn't mean I don't want anything.
