Delurking Update

Thanks so much to all of you who have left comments so far. If you didn't get a chance to do so yesterday, please leave a comment on this post or the last one letting me know where you live. (You can be as general as you wish.) (Why do I feel the need to give you permission to be general?) (I guess I don't want to scare away people who like to be anonymous.) (Anyway.)

So I am still catching up and trying to go comment on all of your blogs. I think I've commented on about 2/3, and I will continue to leave more comments tonight. Please check your spam file if you don't think I've left a comment. For some reason, lots of blogs think I am a spammer lately. Aargh.

I had a really bad work-day yesterday, ending with me crying as quietly as possible in my office with the door closed, and all your comments definitely cheered me up. So, in summary, comment away!

Oh! I hate crying in the office days! I'm lucky that I haven't had one in a while. You're lucky to have a door for such things. I'm the only female in the office, so it makes the guys really uncomfortable if they know I've been crying! :)

I hope today is a better day!

I know; wasn't delurk day fun?? I have never had that many comments.

Sorry you had a crappy work day. Hope today goes better.

Awww...who made my BFF cry? Do you want me to beat them up for you? (Actually, I'm a wimp. Do you want me to make a very cutting sarcastic remark to them for you?)

Ah, crying in the office. Been there.

My boss actually said to me this morning: You look fantastic. Are you trying to look better?

I think that was supposed to be a compliment, but it sure didn't feel like one.

Can H really bench press a car? =)

I totally understand days like that. Glad we former lurkers were able to help!

Sorry about your bad day. The only thing worse than crying at work is having your coworkers know you've been crying at work. Yay for being able to close the door and pretend your just really busy and can't have distractions.

"Are you trying to look better?" Ha. Sounds like one of 3carnations socially awkward coworkers.

You should try the crying in the office thing when you work in an open plan office. Yeah, not so fun. Hope things have improved!

Oh, crying at work sucks. I know because I did it last week, too, and I have no office where I can close the door.

I'm sorry you had a crappy day. Hope things are going better.

Today was even worse. I will come back and respond to your comments soon, hopefully. You guys crack me up.

Ugh. Today was WORSE? Man, that sucks. Will it make you laugh if I tell you that I almost called you tonight from Super Target to ask if you were near a computer and if so, if you would look up the pumpkin casserole recipe on Noelle's site for me? I decided all impromptu-like that I should make that tomorrow, and I didn't want to make another trip once I checked the ingredients. I thought you might think I was absurd for doing that, though, so I resisted. Also, miraculously, all I forgot was the onion! (I am going to improvise and do without... or toss in some onion flakes, which I have on hand. I'm a rebel like that.)

I really should have put this in an email instead of a comment... or, you know, just kept this foolish rambling to myself.

Ugh to bad work days. I haven't found myself crying at school yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen.

Hope the rest of your week was great! It's Friday! :)

Oh NO! Girl, I have been there so many times. At least you have a door. :(

I heart you! Hang in there! Weekend beckons!

Oh no! I missed de-lurking day, what was I thinking? A little 'hello' from my corner of Scotland ;-)

Is it too late to de-lurk?

I found your site through CAP when she linked to you about your "nemesis" and I've stuck around because I just love your writing style.

So, I live just north of Seattle now, but I'm originally from Chicago. So I LOVE that "H" calls Wisconsinites Sconnies (I know a lot of 'em, since I went to school with a bunch of 'em in Chicago). Never heard the term, though. But it has become my go-to phrase to describe obnoxious drunks (regardless of where they're from).

Hi! You know I exist and read, but I've been a lazy commenter as of late. Dude, jobs are lots of work and also block my access to lots of blogs. Suckas!

3cars, all my bosses are men, so that makes it more awkward. It is definitely nice to have a door on my office.

Stefanie, delurking day was so much fun!

Liz, if I e-mail you with someone's home address, will you go beat him or her up for me (or to ring their doorbell and make a sarcastic remark)? You would travel hundreds of miles for that, right?

OPH, wow! It's like sexual harassment and a backhanded compliment, all in one!

Leah, he would want me to tell you that yes he can. But the car would have to only weigh 300 or 400 pounds. =)

Courtney, the comments were actually a big help!

Sparkling ciper, yes, thank goodness for the closed door.

Theotherbear, I am so glad we don't have an open floor plan. Can you at least hide in the bathroom to cry?

Tartine, oh, I am so sorry that you had a bad week too!

Stefanie, I already told you this, but feel free to call me from Target if you need to.

NPW, I hope you don't cry at school.

Malia, thanks.

Lainey, it's never too late to delurk. Hi!

Funessa, you are now H's best friend.

Christine, I totally understand. And if you want to look for jobs in MN, let me know! =)
