It Is Tuesday, Right?

I think I went all day without saying anything weird at work, which is pretty amazing for me. I even had some important conference calls during which I sounded professional. Wooo!

*****

I have been having a very odd problem lately. I have no idea what day of the week it is. For example, I was certain that today was Wednesday, and I spent a lot of the day freaking out because I have a project that has to be completed by 8 a.m. Thursday, and I had no idea how I was going to get it done. It was not until 6 p.m. that I realized it was Tuesday. I have been like this for two weeks. I will even look at the calendar to figure out what day it is, and then five minutes later, I have no idea what day it is again. I think I may have caught a bad case of Laurinaitis.

*****

I have no idea why I needed to make that extremely lame "joke," but I am having sever day-of-the-week issues. It is so bizarre.

I HATE the day of the week confusion. Gawd. All day yesterday, my poor husband thought it was (oh my God)...FRIDAY. He was so excited! And yet: Tuesday. TUESDAY. The heartbreak and woe!

Don't beat yourself up about it. I often forget what year it is.

Seriously.

Oh, Jenny, I'm so glad you admit that. I don't feel like such a freak now. I continued telling people the wrong age for months after my birthday until, two months before I turned 26, I realize, WHOA! I'm actually 25, not 24 years old.... That would never have happened if I had been born a few months later, in nice round-numbered 1980. Damn those tricky 9s.

OK, I totally didn't get the Laurinaitis joke, but I'm sure that is my fault, not yours. My brain turns off when anyone references sports.

Also, Jonniker, that cracked me up. "Oh the heartbreak and woe!" I totally know what you mean, as the same thing has happened to me. It's so disappointing waking up thinking it might be Friday and realizing how very, very wrong you are about that.

Jonniker, I know the feeling exactly!

Jenny, I don't forget what year it is, but I do forget how old I am.

Sparkling Cipher, I know! Oh, I should definitely blame my age forgetfulness on the fact that I was born in 1979. Good plan.

Stefanie, I don't think you got it because (1) it is kind of a private joke among H, one of our friends, and me, and (2) it really makes no sense.

In fact, after I posted this, I was threatening to delete the whole thing because it is so lame, but H told me to stop being a weirdo and let it go. So here it is, sans title and all.

And I just noticed that I spelled "severe" wrong in the post, so overall I have to give this one an A++.

I sometimes get confused about the days of the week during the week, but somehow my body always knows when it's Saturday.

Weird. Word.

If I could go five minutes without saying something weird, I would be happy.

And God, yeah, it sucks when you realize it is only Wednesday. Or worse, Monday.

I am still sad that I won't be here for us to hang out again next week. :(

I screwed up the days of the week this week, too. It was a lot easier when I was a teacher... every day, I had to write a pass for kids. I always knew the day of the week then.

Schneids, I was actually pretty good today about knowing it was Wednesday!

Liz, yes, I don't tend to have problems know it is Saturday.

Preppy, indeed.

Nat, I am sad too. I will just have to see you when you come to MN. So now you have to come to MN.

DCMM, I always knew the day of the week AND the date when I was in school. Now I am lost.
