If I Don't Post Again, I May Be Under Investigation

Hi! I have become very busy at work. It is good though. So let me just say this:

H and I are going bowling tomorrow night. I am dorkily excited about it. I was required to take one PE course in college, so I took bowling. It was awesome. We didn't actually learn anything, but that was ok with me. Here's hoping I break 100!

Also, if you read my blog from your office at the DOJ, could you please send me an e-mail and just say, "Hey! How's it going? I work at the DOJ. I'm not investigating you or anything. I just personally enjoy reading your blog"? Because it is kind of freaky to keep having the DOJ in my stats. Thanks!

Love,
-R-

PS So of course today when I am super tired and have a lame ass entry, I check my stats and see that I have a lot more visitors than usual because this blog is the site of the day at Feedster. So if you are new and have managed to read this far, might I recommend taking my survey or reading some helpful life tips?

Ooh! I have a DOJ lurker every now and again too...and have the same paranoia (being a lawyer *and* living abroad, I feel this all makes sense). So, um, if, DOJ worker, you happen to be reading the comments to this post, I'd appreciate one of those emails too...or at least a mention in your email to -R-. Thanks for braving the waters here, -R-!

I'd be interested to know if you get that email. The only consistent lurker I have who never comments is in Kansas. I don't think I'm being investigated in Kansas (or anywhere else, for that matter). I just always wonder why someone reads my blog almost every day and never ever comments.

I also have a lurker in Kansas. I was actually thinking about changing my headline to read "Huge in Kansas City." Maybe there's some kind of non-commenting thing in the middle of the country. I haven't noticed any DOJ lurkers as of yet, but my blog is still pretty small and young...

I don't really know what the site of the day at Feedster is, but it sounds pretty impressive, so YAY you.

I too have a regular visitor from the DOJ. I assumed it was a friend of yours or H's who linked over to me from you. But if you don't know who it is either, then perhaps we're BOTH being investigated.

I actually have lots of lurkers who I have no idea who they are. I should have done a De-Lurk Week post, I guess. In particular, I seem to be big in Ohio. I know no one in Ohio.

Have fun bowling! Do you have a bowling name? Everyone needs a bowling name, I say.

Don't you love it when my comments are as long as the post? ;-)

I reaaly don' mind if people don' comment, although I do like comments. It wa just surprising to see the DOJ in my stats! :)

I did a delurking post. It didn't draw "Kansas" out. I thought about calling them out specifically in a post, but then I thought I might just scare them away completely. I'm treating them like a stray cat or something - "don't want to scare them away".

The locations can be misleading, though. For example, Stefanie, I think statcounter puts you in a different state than you are actually in...

I love that someone from the DOJ is totally investigating you! Just kidding. Don't get paranoid. I think this blog portrays you as an utterly mature, professional, patriotic and responsible citizen. If the DOJ is lurking, it is probably because they are about to give you an award.

Note to self: don't try to comment on your own blog from the bus because your comment will make you seem mentally challenged.

Noelle, I am totally a lurker on your blog. Hi!

Sognatrice and Stefanie, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one under investigation!

3cars, good luck with the person in Kansas! I have no idea who it is.

L Sass, thanks. FYI, I love America! And the government! Yay, government!

Um, what is the DOJ?

Stefanie said...

I was actually going to ask if you were drunk-commenting in your own comments (on a Friday morning). The bus explanation is a little less fun.

-R- said...

Isabel, it is the Dept of Justice.

Stefanie, maybe I was drinking on the bus. Wouldn't you like to know?

I envy you for going bowling. Marty would go bowling with me, and there's nothing more pathetic than a woman bowling alone. So, I never get to do it.

Damn him.

Enjoy! :)

Wow, DOJ investigations, huh? Maybe they heard you and Stefanie were criminally cool on roller skates. ;)

Congrats on being the Feed Of The Day!

It's such a delightful honor, isn't it? :)

FYI, I have received official confirmation via e-mail that I am not under investigation. Woo hoo!

That's very neat. It makes me want to try to call my Kamsas lurker out!

err...KaNsas. Not KaMsas...

hey, I am going bowling tomorrow too. But I am TERRIBLE at it! and um, I don't work for the DOJ (but even if I did and I told you, then I'd have to kill you, or something)

My vote is for the mentally challenged commenting. It was awesome.

So glad to hear you're not under investigation. whew.

I wish I could have taken bowling in college. Our phys ed class was so lame. Bowling would have been LOTS more fun, even though I totally suck at it.

Put one in the gutter for me!!!

Ha! I have a lurker from DOJ, too!!
(I wonder if he/she is the same as yours?)

Congrats on being the feed of the day!

Have fun bowling! (Are we going to see some pictures?)

That is so funny. I also notice an occasional visit from someone at the DOJ. Glad you are not under investigation!

Em, Surely you can find someone else to go bowling with you! Bowling is so fun!

Liz, ha!

Jes, oh yes, I am just oh so popular now.

Janet, I hope you had fun bowling too! It is cool to be a bad bowler.

Mocha, I am sure there is more to come.

DCMM, bowling was definitely a fun class.

Metalia and Laura, maybe the DOJ has a whole team of blog readers!

Hmmm...wondering what I could do to get on the DOJ blogroll.

I had to comment because, I too, being the excellent display of atheleticism I am, took bowling as my PE class in college. Woot!
