Since I last posted, I have gone to a Twins game, worked, eaten some barbecue and also some Samoa (correct name: Caramel Delights) Girl Scout Cookie flavored ice cream, and worked some more. I also bought a red patent faux-leather headband. And now, sadly, you are all caught up with my life.
It has also been warm enough this weekend that I got to wear my new super cute Keds. So comfortable! So cute! Unfortunately, I didn't get much time to enjoy the nice weather. Can I tell you how excited I am about summer and hot weather? Very! I want to wear my Keds everyday, and take bike rides with H, and have barbecues at our house, and make sangria, and invite people over to play Bocce and badminton. What is your favorite thing about summer?

I'd love to be wearing super cute Keds right now, but I'm stuck wearing clunky shoes so that my feet aren't wet all day after walking through the massive puddles in the parking lot! Please send some spring our way!
It was a gorgeous weekend here, and yet, I stayed inside most of the weekend because I am sick and have zero energy. Boo.
I can't wait to make sangria this summer, though, after learning all about it in "Mixology" last week!
Fave thing about summer? Endless plates of sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and onions drizzled in balsamic. Heaven all season.
And sleeping late too.
Have you posted pics of the keds yet?
Nat, if you click the link in this post for the words "super cute Keds," the shoes I am referring to are the greenish shoes at the top of the linked post.
I love lemonade and barbecues and going hiking or walking or camping.
(Wow - that makes me sound like a nature girl. Please know that I am nothing of the sort. I will only go camping for 2 nights in a row because I can only go so long without a shower. And now I've shared too much information. Someone take the keyboard away, please.)
My favorite thing is wearing flip flops to work and having my feet turn black with NYC dirt... it probably carries 93,000 germs, but that's okay.
Also, Caramel Delight is, in fact the correct name for Samoas. Likewise, "Peanut Butter Patty" not Tagalong.
Strawberry margaritas on the patio.
(Okay, fine. I like margaritas year round. But something about warm, summery weather makes them taste BETTER.)
Wearing sandals. Fresh local produce. And how good a really cold beer tastes when it's really hot outside.
Being invited over to someone's house for bocce and sangria.
Hint, hint.
PS. What the hell's bocce?
Cook-outs w/ friends, pools, sunshine, drinkies, flip-flops, ponytails, NOT bikinis, tan skin, boats, smell of suntan lotion...
ooh.. going to the beach. there is nothing like going to a perfectly white-sanded beach where there is just about no one else around on a work day and lying in the sun and swimming in the water. i did this exactly once last year and am perfectly ready to try it again this year.
mmm.... now i can't wait for summer.
Ooh; new template in progress! I am honored to be the second link you moved over. ;-)
I really wasn't supposed to comment on this yet (or at all, or here), was I? Oh well.
Driving on an empty road with the top down on a late summer evening. Doesn't get much better than that.
VACATION. Enough said.
Well, maybe not exactly enough. I also love wearing sandals and flip flops, too. OH, and YAY for summer fruit and salads and... now I want summer.
Don't you worry that they won't fit when ordered from the internet?
I am assuming that Blogger emails you when you have comments, so you will see this even though it is a very old post. (You must have updated something--removed a photo, perhaps?--because it showed up as new again in Bloglines.) Anyway, I just wanted to say I am sorry you can't make it to my party next weekend, because I am going to make Sangria!! AND gin and tonics! And maybe even Mojitos! Whee! :-)
