Rabbit Fur [and] Coat

As I was getting ready for work Tuesday morning, H shouted, "Come downstairs! And bring the camera!" So I obliged. I was not sure what to expect. One time some middle-aged people parked their car by our house and then proceeded to totally make out in the car. I hoped it was not something along those lines.

I got to the kitchen, where H was staring out the window, and saw this.

We always used to have bunnies in our yard growing up, and they would drive my mom crazy by eating all her flowers, no matter what she tried to deter them. We don't really have any flowers, so I didn't mind seeing the bunny, though I was not quite as excited as H.

Since I have turned this into a fashion blog, what do you think of this jacket?

The only reason I own the jacket is that one day last summer when I was wearing a short sleeved cardigan and capris at work, I found out that I had to go to a board meeting in 30 minutes. So I speedwalked to Ann Taylor (which is very close to my office) and bought the only jacket in my size in the clearance section that kind of matched my capris. I had the salesperson cut off the tags, and I wore it back to the office, with 10 minutes to spare. I still wear the jacket from time to time because I need to get my $50 worth.

I think it is kind of an old lady jacket, but I get compliments on it whenever I wear it. What do you think? I am not fishing for compliments here. If it is ugly, please tell me.

I am behind on my blog commenting, but I will try to catch up tomorrow before I go out of town. In case you were worried.

I think it's cute and dressy...Not old lady like at all.

We often have rabbits in our yard. For some reason, they think spending lots of time in the yard where an elderly beagle lives is a good idea...Although, our elderly beagle seems to think so, too. We also have a squirrel with a nest in a tree right behind our house. We think she's pregnant. What do you get as a baby gift for a squirrel neighbor? Maybe we'll get her a gift certificate....

I think it's v. cute but it's important you don't pair it with anything else "old lady" - wear it with funky jewelry, shoes, or something, and modern but classic pants, ya know? If you start pairing it with big ugly flowers it could go downhill quickly....

It's a totally cute jacket! It goes with the camera perfectly.

I think it's cute. But then, I often feel like a crotchety old lady lately, if you want to factor that in. ;)

At my previous residence I had lots of bunnies. I loved watching them cavorting in the yard. Sadly, my dog liked to chase them and one bunny didn't run fast enough one night. Shudder.

I think it's cute, but Janet makes a very good point. The wrong pairing could quickly steer it in a direction you don't want to go.

H would be fascinated at my house. I have bunnies and squirrels around outside all the time. The old lady who lives next door puts out food for them every night, so now they think they live there. I asked my neighbor once what she named her rabbit, and she laughed at me as though that were a ridiculous idea. Then a few months later, she referred to the rabbit as "Thumper." Guess it wasn't so ridiculous after all...

BUNNY! Yay! Oh, so cute. We don't have any rabbits in our area. I figure there are too many dogs on our street, including mine who would happily catch a rabbit if they could. Poor bunny...

I think the jacket is really cute, actually. I didn't think old lady until you mentioned it, so i think you're ok. I like the collar. Also, i'm jealous that it takes you 10 minutes to find a jacket that fits you right without having to have it tailored. Very jealous.

Well, I guess it can't hurt for me to reiterate what everyone else already said:
Jacket = not old ladyish (just don't pair it with giant clip-on earrings and orthopedic shoes and you're all set!)

I think the jacket is cute, but you need some jewelry. Like a necklace.

Get thyself to Target. They have good options.

Totally cute, especially with a colored shirt underneath.

I love it. It's a flattering cut, good summer color, and a classic look.

I think as long as your hair isn't in a beehive it's fabulous. If your hair is in a beehive it's totally old ladyish.
